The full interface design for an online language school teaching German and English — from the first screen through to the enrolment form. Our scope here was design: we worked out how the offer should read, and how someone should move through it.
Visit SiteTwo languages, levels from A1 to C1, exam tracks for Goethe, TestDaF and telc, professional and academic streams, children's courses, and support for applying to a German university. Written out as a list it is unreadable. The design's whole job was to let a visitor find their own row quickly and ignore the rest — which meant deciding what to show first and, harder, what to hold back.
Lessons run from around €7 to €23 depending on whether you learn alone, in a pair, in a group or as a child, with packages at 8, 12 and 16 lessons. We designed the comparison so a learner can place themselves without emailing to ask — the format decides the price, so the format is what the layout leads with.
The academy teaches in German and English but speaks to its students in Russian and Ukrainian, and the same sentence changes length in every one of them. Every component was designed to take that — headings that can run two lines without breaking their block, buttons that hold a long label, cards that stay level when the text beside them does not.
